Immediately his colleagues at his
motor park heard about the incident, they stormed Wema Bank premises, destroyed
part of the building and all the windscreens of cars parked in the premises,
which mostly belonged to the bank officials and few customers.
The property destroyed are said
to be millions of naira. Meanwhile an LL reader who also works around Oba
Akran, who saw it all, has this to say…read it after the cut, and see photos
too. I wonder when ‘lazy’ men in uniforms will learn to stop being power drunk.
I happened to witness this gory
event today just in front of my office. It happened at Oba Akran Avenue Ikeja
precisely at Bank bus stop. A truck broke down on the road causing heavy
traffic along Oba Akran Avenue so it was hell getting through.
Danfos in their usual style were
trying to find an escape route out of the heavy grid lock but one of them was
so unlucky when he passed in front of Wema Bank as one trigger happy policeman
shot at the conductor and immediately fled the scene.
Passers-by had to rally round for
support to help the conductor who was lying helplessly in a pool of his own
blood before he was taken to LASUTH don't know his present condition it
happened around 2:00 pm.
