Exercise to Prolong Your Life
As life gets busier, it becomes harder to find time to
exercise and therefore maintain a healthy lifestyle. Many believe that, in
order to be in shape, you need to go to the gym at least three times a week and
undergo heavy workouts. Well, that’s a myth.
Although, the type of exercises one can do vary from
individual to individual, depending on their age and physical condition,
everyone needs to do physical activity of some sort. And guess what? You don’t
need to find two hours a day to go to the fitness club. It
can take only a few minutes and it might be included in your daily errands!
On web, you can find tips on how to easily maintain healthy
habits in a fast and dynamic way and free
ads of sports equipment, clothing and accessories in order to make your
physical activity fun and more comfortable.
If you have to go to the nearby store, you should walk
instead of driving and there you go, you got a workout in without even
realizing it. If you’re tired of the close space that your gym offers, you
could take your kids or dog to the park and play with them instead of sitting
on a bench.
Sometimes doing physical activity can be as easy as going
for a walk with a friend while having a conversation, instead of going to a
coffee shop. If you live in a neighborhood that has a pool facility or tennis
courts, take advantage of them! Go play soccer on weekends, don’t sit on the
couch watching TV.
Exercising will not only make you feel great, but it will help
you prevent illness and, believe it or not, it will prolong your life!

FG to Establish Development Finance Institution
President Goodluck Jonathan said the Federal Government would
establish a wholesale Development Finance Institution (DFI) to provide
long-term funds for industrial development. Creating a vibrant
industrial sector has been a major focus of the President's
Transformation Agenda since inception in 2011.
Jonathan stated this at the launch of the disbursement of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)’s N220 billion funds for the development of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the country. The fund’s disbursement was the highpoint of the CBN’s 8th Annual MSME Finance Conference and Entrepreneurship Awards with the theme, ``MSME Financing in Nigeria: Past, Present and Future.’’

Chef cooking snake dies after cobra bites him - 20 minutes after head was cut off
A chef preparing a dish from cobra flesh died when the snake's head bit him - 20 minutes after it was cut off.
Victim Peng Fan had been preparing a special dish made from the Indochinese spitting cobra, a rare delicacy in Asia where eating snakes is commonplace.
But when he went to throw the serpent's severed head into the waste bin, it bit him - injecting him with its fast acting venom.
Police say Mr Peng died before he could be given life saving anti-venom in hospital.
Diners who were eating in the restaurant at the time have described screams coming from the kitchen as the tragedy unfolded.
Restaurant guest Lin Sun, 44, who was in the restaurant with his wife Su at the time said: "We were in the restaurant having a meal for my wife's birthday when suddenly there was a lot of commotion.
"We did not know what was happening but could hear screams coming from the kitchen.
"There were calls for a doctor in the restaurant but unfortunately by the time medical assistance arrived the man had already died. After we heard that we did not continue with our meal."

NSCDC boss escapes assasination by police inspector
The attention of the Nigeria Police Force has been drawn to a press release issued, Friday, 22nd August, 2014 by the spokesperson of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), CSC Emmanuel Okeh, in which he alleged that an unnamed Police Inspector single-handedly “attempted to open fire” on the Commandant-General of the NSCDC, Ade Abolurin and over 200 of his committee members, including representatives of the “Nigerian Army, EFCC, ICPC and office of the Attorney-General of the Federation among others.” Continue...

A 37-year-old mother of three, Ezeh
Ifeoma Maureen (pictured above), has been arrested with substances suspected to be
cannabis by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
According to The Nation, Maureen was caught at the Murtala Mohammed
International Airport (MMIA) in Ikeja, Lagos, during outward screening
of China-bound Ethiopian Airlines’ passengers for allegedly attempting
to smuggle 6.200 kilogrammes of dried weeds that tested positive for
cannabis.
The agency’s Airport Commander, Mr.
Hamza Umar, said the suspect told the officers that her bags contained
