THE Sakubva man who hit the headlines last week after he was filmed being intimate with a married woman in a bush was on Wednesday trapped and caught by his lover's enraged husband after the self-styled prophet called the woman for another quick1e out of town.
Simon Neruwana, a prophet with the Zion Church in Sakubva, temporarily migrated to his rural home in Bikita following last week's exposure, avoiding the wrath of Darlington Mutudza, the man whose wife he was caught having s*x with.
But on Wednesday on his way back to Mutare, Neruwana, who thought that the tide had subsided, called his lover, told her to dumb her husband and meet him for another session in Zimunya.
Fortunately or unfortunately the call was intercepted by Mutudza who then instructed his wife, Memory, to pretend as if nothing was wrong and agree to meet the prophet in Zimunya as per his request.
The incensed Mutudza, who revealed that he has since forgiven his wife and vowed not to lose her again for the second time, teamed up with friends and trapped the unsuspecting prophet in Zimunya.
As soon as he disembarked from the bus, Neruwana, who was expecting a warmly hug from Memory, was met with an avalanche of fists.
He was dragged into a commuter omnibus and brought to Mutare Central Police Station where Mutudza sought police intervention.

Super Eagles Qualify for Brazil 2014

The Super Eagles dominated on Saturday and predictably qualified for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

The African champions defeated the Walya Antelopes of Ethiopia 2-0 at the U.J Esuene Stadium in Calabar.

Victor Moses and substitute Victor Obinna Nsofor were the heroes for Nigeria.

Moses converted a 20th minute penalty to put Super Eagles, who had earlier defeated the Ethiopians 2-1 in Adiss Ababa, ahead on 3-1 aggregate.

Nsofor, who plays for Lokomotiv Moscow in the Russian Premier League, stunned the East Africans when he fired home a superb free- kick in the 82nd minute to send the packed U.J Esuene Stadium into celebration.

Nigeria thus qualified for next year’s global soccer fiesta on 4-1 aggregate.

Anambra governorship election results, not acceptable unless – APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has warned that it will not accept the results of Saturday’s governorship election in Anambra state if voting does not take place in all local governments, especially in the party’s strongholds of Idemili North and South as well as Akwa South.

In a statement issued in Lagos on Saturday by its Interim National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party also condemned INEC for its apparently-contrived logistic nightmare that has left thousands of voters unable to exercise their franchise, and demanded the immediate removal of the Resident Electoral Commissioner for Anambra, Prof. Chukwuemeka Onukogu.

APC said it was totally astonished to learn that INEC has confirmed that materials meant for Idemili North Local Government, which has 180,000 voters, have been hijacked, without saying who hijacked the ballot papers and why, and without explaining why the materials meant for APGA and PDP strongholds were not hijacked.

1. Catch Up On Lost Academic Work
If there was any academic related work that you missed while school was still in session, you do not have to wait until school resumes to catch up on them.
Use this god-given opportunity (or rather ASUU-FG created opportunity) to your advantage. If you missed a class note, update your notes. Do all the omitted assignments.
Write your lab reports. Complete your class projects. Do your team works. Perfect your field exercise. All of this will make you readily prepared for resumption once the strike is called off.

ASUU Strike May Be Called Off At Tomorrow’s NEC Meeting

The 4 months old strike action by the Academic staff Union of Universities, ASUU may be suspended tomorrow, after positive negotiations between leaders of the Union and the President Jonathan Led Federal Government, Last week monday.
The suspension became more positive, following the higher number of Universities who voted in favour of the suspension of the 2013 ASUU strike, at monday’s Varsity Chapter meetings, where Universities like UNILAG, UI, UNIPORT, ABU Zaria and many others seek the suspension of the 4 months old action, and the resumption of academic activities across the Nations Universities.
Despite the tragic incident on tuesday morning, where the Union lost her past leader, VNTI strongly believe, that the National Executive Council, NEC meeting of ASUU this Saturday, would be positive, especially in honour of the Past Leader, Professor Iyayi, and the Nigerian students, in the nations Varsities should be prepared to resume activities, as soon as Monday, 18th November, once a declaration is made on saturday evening, or sunday.

Zimbabwean Man Shot By His Employer after Asking For His Salary

A Zimbabwean man was shot four times after asking his employer for payment.
Gift Ncube, an immigrant working in Botswana, was shot four times, resulting in the breaking of both his arms which had to be amputated.
His employer, identified as Keitumetse Khunowu, is said to have lost his temper when Ncube asked to be paid his dues.
Ncube had just finished clearing two hectares of land.
“I am finished, it would have been better if he had just killed me because now I cannot do anything for myself,” said a distraught Ncube.

The sound of the horn is supposed to call the sons of Odin to the battlefield, where Odin will ultimately be killed.

Husband Catches Suicidal Wife as She Throws Herself from Balcony

A quick-thinking husband managed to catch his suicidal wife at the moment she decided to jump from the balcony a Chinese tower block.
The man managed to grab the distraught woman as she hung over the fourth floor balcony in Changjiang, southern China’s Hainan Island.
According to the woman’s husband they were arguing when his wife suddenly went to leap from the balcony.
He rushed forward and was able to grab one of her legs – leaving her dangling over the drop below with her trousers half pulled off.
He managed to hold onto her for ten minutes while emergency services arrived.
When until firefighters arrived grabbed hold of the woman and helped to pull her back to safety.
The woman was then comforted by concerned family and friends in the staircase before being transferred to hospital.

After the Onojie of Ugbegun, the home town where Iyayi hails from, demanded N50billion from the Governor of Kogi State as compensation to the immediate family of late Iyayi, the family members have said, it is embarrassing and they have not and will never ask for such. A cousin to Iyayi, Prof. Robert Ebewale, says, it is embarrassing to try to equate the life of Prof Iyayi with money, the family is embarrassed with the N50billion demand. Iyayi will be buried in December.
